How to Access
Netgear users can open the menu just like a standard webpage. To do this, open your browser window and enter the IP address “192.168.0.1” (leave the quotes here and everywhere) in the address bar. If that doesn’t work, try “192.168.1.1”, as some Netgear devices use this address instead. You can open the menu by navigating to “www.routerlogin.net”. By default, the menu login is “admin” and the password is “password”, although you might consider changing this for security reasons.
If your router is not responding, you must check your connection for it. Begin by disconnecting all external modems or USB connections the router might have. If you use a wireless connection, try connecting to the router via an Ethernet cable and retest. You should also see if the router of your computer network adapter has an IP address by going to the Command Prompt and “ipconfig”. If your adapter’s IP address shows as “0.0.0.0” or starts with “169.254”, your router and adapter are not communicating.

Try to open the menu through an alternative browser, if possible, as this will help to see if the problem is limited to a particular browser application or not. If you only have problems with a specific program, cookies remove that browser and temporary files, then retest. If this does not work, try returning your browser to the default settings, or reinstalling.
